 A beautiful day on the grounds of St Alban's Cathedral. House hunting here...very excited about the possibility of living in St Albans with all of the benefits of living in a gorgeous market town and is only 17 minutes out of London (that is what keeps me ok with moving out of the city.) Anyways its good to have a change sometimes?!

Totally stoked to show you some creative head shots that my friend did the make up and hair for. In the first one she not only created the wig, but she also did the head piece;Mickey ears made out of braided  black hair. She is mega talented and always a huge inspiration to me. Has anyone tried this product by dr. Brandt or any of his products? What did you think? I have been using the Olay pro x retinol product and am happy with the results but apparently this is like, the highest concentration of retinol for your skin that you can get without a prescription.

This acne cardigan was on my wishlist for months. I didn't get it because I felt that it was too similar to some other stuff I have but wow, the colour looks so fresh against black and grey. I like her bag too!

Having a poke around a really cool hat shop on Old Street called C4LA. I have heard of this line of hats before but to look at the quality up close, they really are good hats. I know I know, I am not wearing one of their cool trilbys or bowler hats becaue I have chosen a more far out creation of theirs to showcase...and probably not the best with the army green mac.

My friend Kate

I have a gorgeous friend called Kate who is having a dress made that she loved on the other Kate. This is the first fitting. All of the ruching detail is yet to come... The colour is gorgeous and once the bodice is completely done it will be stunning. I think a lot of people forget that a taylor can help you find your perfect dress. It is quite a fun process, picking out chiffons and going in for fittings. Much more glamourous than your average trip to the shop.

I do love a loose and messy braid. This look is so simple and beautiful. I really love that bit of silver too with the black and khaki. With the weather the way it is in London, this is achievable beauty. Colour right now just seems wrong.  

My Essentials

Just packing again to go to friends on the Isle of Wight. I introduce you to my summer essentials(so far). These products make me feel somewhat presentable and are the things I go back to all the time. Chanel Dunes eyeshadow quad in Dunes is so amazing on everyone and you can do so many looks from bare to really sultry. The Surf Spray is a style no brainer for my wavy hair and the Chanel Black Pearl is just great with everything. What are your essentials?

Javier's mexican restaurant is the height of luxury in Newport Beach...a far cry from its humble beginnings in Laguna Beach but still the same delish fresh camarones(white shrimp)and famous margaritas. The decor at the restaurant is inspired with Spanish/Moor influences with huge candles and chandaliers. Of course the sea views are the show stopper. We dined with old friends and ate Ceviche(seafood cooked in lime juice)and sipped cadillac margaritas (skinny of course) all of us had the enchilladas with camarones. We rolled out stuffed and happy. Beachcomber Restaurant at Crystal Cove

My backyard again...chilling after a day at Crystal Cove beach. We ate pancakes and had huge bloody Marys(Sammy had milk) at the Beachcomber. Crystal Cove is such a beautiful beach. Every time I go we see whales or dolphins. My t shirt is from Stella and sunglasses are Dries van Noten and sandals from Sam Edelman. Underneath is my neon bathing suit from Topshop. Sammy is in Volcom top and baby gap shorts! 

My back yard

I got the Karen Walker sunglasses and have been wearing them so much! Here I am in my mom's backyard posing in my Etoile Marant jumpsuit. It was quite a trip, the high point seeing one of my good friends get married at a beautiful old art deco building in Downtown LA(sooo fun!) The low point was my son ending up in ER and being sick with a temperature for 5 days. Despite the drama, we made it to our fav haunts and enjoyed the gorgeous weather to the full. I took a few more pictures and will post more this week.
