Hope Stockholm is part Cos part Acne and 100% Swedish. Uncomplicated and almost androgynous and very very cool, this line from Stockholm is a new favorite of mine. The knits and stripey t shirts are especially good.

These are a few pieces from my wardrobe that I really want to wear but due to daily rain I am confined to jeans, wellies and basically my winter wardrobe not fair!!! The weather forecast for London is basically rain for the next couple of weeks. I can only dream of my sheer patterned pants from Zara which I would wear with my strappy platform sandals or my gorgeous Stella McCartney T shirt dress which will be perfect poolside! Ha Ha. The playsuit has had one outing but my vintage silk jacket picked up in Bruges for a song has been begging to be worn. Some how it looks out of place over anything more substantial than a camisole.

Spotlight on...

I know everyone has seen the Coachella pictures already but I just wanted to throw a little spotlight on Diane Kruger. She always looks so amazing. LOOOVE the t shirt dress with the little belt and also here with the long skirt and jaunty Trilby. What a gorgeous girl she is.

Rain Dance

California dreaming on this cold wet day. I have lived in London for almost a decade and I am still not used to this rain rain and.. rain. The sandals in both of these shots are super sweet. Maybe the sun will come out soon???

Aloha bronze

via Make up and Beauty blog

When you live in a place like London, a bronzer may not be the best thing to use after a long winter as it can look like two dusty mud flaps on your cheeks. Try bronzing gel instead with its shimmery translucence. It is easy to use the smallest amount or to mix with foundation for an all over glow. Now that I am using this Laguna Illuminator from Nars it is like crack! Everytime I open up my make up bag I go straight to it. I use it on my eyes and even lips to get the monochromatic ombre effect. I think I might have to get the silvery shade (Copacabana) to sort of shake things up for summer. I do love a pearly finish. If you are not a fan of shimmer, try the Laura Mercier bronzing gel which is also very very good.

My husband and I have just got back from a long weekend (without child) in Bruges. Its probably the best place to rest as it is sooo quiet and sleepy. Every corner you turn, there are sights more beautiful than the last and the food and beer of course was great. The best meal we ate was spaghetti bolognese which seems to be their version of pub grub( the Venetian traders lived in Bruges when it was the richest city in Europe). Sad/happy to be back home now. My Christopher Raeburn jacket was the look du jour of the trip as we expected it to rain the entire time. Instead we had sunshine and what a treat.

Just got back from Belgium and read this month's Vogue on the Eurostar. Laura Bailey did an article about sundresses which got me in the mood to choose a couple that I love this season. Now if only the weather would get good enough to wear something a bit more fluid than jeans. Pictures from Brugges coming soon....

Thanks again to my friend Maud(el) who smuggled some of my favorite make up remover over from Paris. Bioderma, the weirdest most wonderful solution that like, desolves make up totally with no oil or funny smell. A firm favorite with top make up artists plus models love it too because it is so gentle. I like it because it doesn't blind you when you are taking off your make up. Magic water is cool. Why don't they sell it outside France? It's like most good French skincare from their amazing pharmacies-they like to keep it a secret!
